Hello again!
I intended to send this update earlier in the week, but unfortunately I came down with COVID over the weekend and it kinda knocked me out of commission. But without further ado, here we go:
Every week I'm bringing a new, limited time additional gift to backers. Sometimes these will be physical and sometimes these will be digital. But either way, they'll be exciting. So the earlier you back, the more cool stuff you get!

So what does that mean? It means all physical backers get a free bookmark so you can mark your books to your heart's content, and all backer names will be added to a "thank you" page at the back of the digital edition!
PLUS, it also means it's time to announce the 2nd stretch goal! And here we go:
That's right! Once we pass the next goal, all physical backers will receive a die-cut sticker, and after we pass 15 more backers, added into your rewards will be a digital copy of Bulletproof Chicken by John Westhoff & Bobgar Ornelas!

1) BASED ON A TRUE STORY #1-5 by BRET JULIANO
My friend Bret Juliano is back with another DELIGHTFUL issue of Dust Bunny Mafia stories. In case you're unfamiliar with DBM, it's a comic strips retelling mobster stories in a funny animal format.
Based on a True Story Vol. 5 is a 32-page mini comic collection (8.5" X 5.5") containing 29 comics, printed in glorious full color, each based on a real-life mobster story, such as when Vincent "Mad Dog" Coll kidnapped rival gangsters for ransom.
This is an awesome book filled with humor and mobster stories. Check it out!

MANDRILL P.I. is off to a fantastic start--thanks to you and your support!
And now it's time to announce our first stretch goals:
That's right! When we pass $3,450, all physical backers will receive this novel's bookmark featuring art from the AMAZING Carlos Trigo. We're already closing in on it, so keep spreading the word about the project. And when we get to 115 backers, all backer names will be listed in the back of the digital edition.
There are many more where these came from, so let's pass these goals and move on to the next ones :)

My buddy, Robert Krisch, is returning to Kickstarter in September with his AMAZING series, Turner Family Terrors #1-4!

Speaking of my buddies, Rob Multari is back and is expanding his Night Wolf franchise into a kids' book series!
It's filled with delightful art, great writing, and is a super fun time. It's a high-quality board book paired with a cuddly werewolf plush toy, sure to help monsters of all ages get into the Halloween spirit!
Wolf Pack Pups: A Halloween Trick or Treat Tail is a high-quality board book written by me, Robert A. Multari, and featuring gorgeously illustrated pages by Megan Affolter! The story is about two young werewolf pups, Night Wolf and Snow Paw, who are excited to go trick-or-treating among the humans without scaring anyone. While the pups are going door to door collecting candy, their Monster Grade School classmates, Janelle and Circe are up to no good! Jealous of the pups’ strong friendship the twin witches cast a spell, turning Night Wolf into a Voodoo Doll Plush Toy!
This story teaches young children not to be jealous if their best-friend has other friends, that it is okay to have many friends to share and play with at school or anywhere. The moral of the story was inspired by a real-life situation that I experienced with my daughter and her best-friend at preschool last year.

Super cool grindhouse action & hardboiled suspense comic.
Sara doesn't pick sides, but uneasy alliances form as she fights her way to the border, escaping a country falling to urban warfare.
Sara had planned on going to Mexico. She wanted to escape the darkness of her past, as it only brought on desperation. She needed to escape her country, as it was being drowned in madness. San Diego was her final destination before crossing the border, and the only thing standing in her way was a war zone.
With the borders closed, and the city in flames, Sara is meeting with violent attacks around every corner. Will she find refuge from the battle, or will she get swept up with the wind of revolution?
Awesome project that's a tragic tale of an empire's ultimate demise. Mortal Kombat & Soul Calibur meet Mad Max in this HEIRS OF ISILDUR universe expansion.
In the creator's own words:
"MORTAL KOMBAT and SOUL CALIBUR meet MAD MAX. That's how we like to describe the insanity that is I AM QIDO, our BRAND NEW fictional Far-East fantasy / horror graphic novel. While it focuses on QIDO(who we met in HEIRS OF ISILDUR), and details his life in the YAMARAN EMPIRE(which loosely means the 'Empire of the Mountain Orchid'), there's so much more than simply his story."
This project will fund the 80 page perfect bound one-shot graphic novel with multiple AWESOME covers (including one from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER'S Karl Moline), plus all the support merch, like shirts, socks, metal covers, and amazing leather products by GB Leatherworks, and more!
